RESPONSIBILITY

Make less, wear more. Pieces that last.

We believe that beautiful, distinct pieces, made by hand, out of the finest natural materials, can be worn for every season, and are a genuine investment.

Every piece in our collections is considered with longevity and the ability to transcend seasons. We design and make pieces that are enduring in style and years.

Make Less. Make Better.

We make less, for you to wear more so you buy less and buy better. Quality products that last. As a limited producer, we preserve resources and avoid making throwaway pieces.

Circular.

We make products that last years and to be passed along to the next generation. Pieces that can be circulated to friends and family and not discarded.

Social.

Casa Libertas works each day to be a progressive, learning and fair member to its’ employees and stakeholders. We seek to maintain a respectful working environment throughout our organisation.

Collaborations.

Casa Libertas collaborates with businesses based on partnership, characterised by long-term working relations. We seek to work with the very best in their field characterized by brand awareness, respect, transparency and innovation. We pay particular attention to suppliers and partners that adhere to measurable environmental standards and those that aspire to produce and manufacture as sustainably as possible.

Repair.

With the use of any product, faults in the material or a mishap can occur. It is not a reason to dispose of a quality product. It takes time and artistry to craft the exceptional and if needed we can repair your item.

Leather.

Casa Libertas uses leather from tanneries audited and certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), which is the highest environmental standard in terms of leather tanning.

LWG standard requires tanneries to reduce their resource footprint, notably - water and energy consumption - and the use of hazardous chemicals and substances.

Environment.

As with our customers, we value the environment and the land on which we live, work and play.

We view our community not only as an enterprise, but our environment; the soil, land, wildlife, air, water, wetlands, ocean, flora, and fauna for which we depend. We are active in nature, the great outdoors, wild spaces and want future generations to not only experience what is here today, but for a better tomorrow.

We strive to learn, and act, acknowledging that everything we produce has an impact on the planet. Throughout the life cycle of our products, we are committed to crafting products that have minimal environmental impact, including working with regenerative partner organisations, and embracing innovation in all we do.

CASA LIBERTAS + REGENERATION.

Regeneration plays a key role in Casa Libertas’ ecosystem recognizing that we depend on healthy soil and land.

Casa Libertas is engaged in actionable regeneration practices working to renature, restore, revitalize soil and land for a better environment. With our Regeneration focus and actions, we work to place the health of the environment center to our activities and decisions. We collaborate and work with Canoe Group, a conservation and ranching group alongside its’ partnerships with Understanding Ag and Soil Health Academy, leading players in regenerative practices, actions and education.

Good soil health leads to a healthier ecosystem and CO2 sequestration. Drawing on science, and successes in regenerative actions, we work to improve landscapes, ranches, farms with their ecological health and what they produce.

On our landscapes, we put to practice regenerative agriculture to help restore, revitalize and rewild working landscapes, ranches and farms. Some of the work includes to mimic the grazing patterns of the wild elk and bison herds that once roamed North America's grasslands by the tens of millions. They depended on healthy grasslands that start with healthy soil. Grasslands and herbivores co-evolved and are co-dependent. Restoring that relationship requires our help after generations of over and misuse, to heal the soil and restore nature's ecosystems.

The soil and our landscapes require a collective regenerative focus to improve soil and land health, water and wildlife on which we all depend.

CASA LIBERTAS + REFORESTATION.

Casa Libertas plants trees.

Casa Libertas is a proud reforestation partner with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation.

Trees are vital to a healthy ecosystem and play a key role in storing carbon dioxide, producing oxygen, stabilising soil, help to reduce air temperature and maintain healthy habitats.
